Payfin
Privacy Policy
The short version: your data stays on your phone. Payfin is an offline app. It has no accounts, no backend, and no analytics. We cannot see your debts, your payments, your balances, or anything else you enter — that information never reaches us, because there is nothing for it to reach.
What Payfin stores, and where
Everything you enter — debt names, balances, interest rates, due dates, your chosen payoff strategy, extra-payment amounts, and your payment history — is stored in a local database on your device only. It is never uploaded, synced, or transmitted. Deleting the app deletes this data.
No bank connections
Payfin never asks for bank or lender credentials and does not integrate with any financial data provider. You enter your debts and log payments manually; that is the point of the app. The payoff projections and debt-free date are calculated entirely on your device from the numbers you enter.
Reminders
Payment reminders use local notifications, scheduled entirely on your device. No notification content is sent to any server.
Purchases
Optional subscriptions are processed by Apple through your App Store account. We use RevenueCat to validate purchases and manage subscription status. RevenueCat receives purchase receipt information tied to an anonymous identifier — never your name, email, or anything you enter in the app. Apple's handling of your payment details is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.
Analytics and tracking
None. Payfin contains no analytics SDKs, no advertising, and no trackers.
Children
Payfin is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date. Because the app collects nothing, changes are unlikely to be interesting.
